Photography and Digital Collage
This work centers on a single tree standing in still water, mirrored below the surface as roots extend into the unseen. Light descends from above, dividing sky and water into quiet planes, while the reflection blurs the boundary between what is revealed and what is hidden.
The composition plays with symmetry and inversion. The tree appears whole only when both halves are considered together, above and below, growth and grounding, presence and absence. Rain, reflection, and shadow soften the scene, allowing stillness to become the dominant force rather than motion.
“Tree and Water” is less about landscape and more about balance. It invites the viewer to sit with silence, to notice how strength can exist without movement, and how life continues equally in what we see and what remains beneath the surface.
